GOLF: Tiger Woods has positive practice

Tiger Woods showed glimpses that his game is heading in the right direction during a practice round ahead of the Hero World Challenge, live on Sky Sports 4.
The 14-time major champion makes his first competitive appearance this week since last August's Wyndham Championship, following his back operation and lengthy rehabilitation programme.
Woods initially planned to return at October's Safeway Open, but pulled out of the PGA Tour
opener and the European Tour's Turkish Airlines Open to delay his comeback to feature as tournament host 18-man event in the Bahamas.
The 40-year-old admitted he had considered retiring during his long injury lay-off, although showed positive signs during the pre-tournament Pro-Am on Wednesday.
Woods posted two eagles during his round and ripped several powerful tee shots during the fairway, giving the now world No 898 plenty of encouragement ahead of the opening round.
