The Italy goalkeeper has the most clean sheets in
Serie A, and continues to stop opponents scoring in all competitions,
including the Champions League
Gianluigi Buffon came up against fellow legend Iker Casillas as
Juventus played Porto in the Champions League, and showed his greatness
with another clean sheet.
Juventus won the match 2-0 after Porto had Alex Telles sent off after
27 minutes, meaning the visitors enjoted the majority of possession and
opportunities.
Buffon had a largely comfortable game, but still helped his clean
sheet record - which now stands at six in the last seven games.
The 167-time Italy international is known for clean sheets throughout
his career, holding the records for most minutes without conceding in
Serie A, most matches in a row without conceding, most clean sheets in a
season, and most clean sheets of all time.
For Italy, he also shares the record of most clean sheets at a World
Cup finals, and also has saved the most penalties of any Italian
international.
