Bobby Wood continued his summer of commitment this weekend as he
signed a new contract with Hamburg, the club announced Saturday.The American striker, who got married a few weeks ago, signed a new deal that ties him down to the club through 2021.
"Bobby is a modern, young striker, who has mastered the leap from the second to the first Bundesliga in the last season, without great difficulties adapting," Hamburg sporting director Jens Todt said in comments published on the club’s website.

Speculation over his future arose in the spring as Hamburg was threatened with relegation and, though the club tried to tie him down to a new deal, the Bundesliga outfit admitted there was interest from other sides.
