2017 Champions League final, during which he scored twice for Real
Madrid in a 4-1 win over Juventus.The Portugal international opened the scoring with his side’s first shot of the encounter in the first half. An equaliser from Mario Mandzukic and then a deflected Casemiro strike meant that Ronaldo’s second, a deft near-post finish from a Luka Modric cross, put his side 3-1 up and cruising towards the title.
After the encounter, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson presented the 32-year-old with the individual prize to go with his team gong.
