Diego Costa scores 50th Chelsea goal

The Spain international striker was on target against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park, taking him to 13 for the season and a half-century for the Blues
Diego Costa scored his 50th goal for Chelsea as he took his tally to 13 in the Premier League in 2016-17, more than he managed in England's top-flight all last season.
The Spain international endured a tough time in 2015-16, as he netted 12 times in the Premier League and plundered only 16 in all competitions.
He has, however, been a regular on the scoresheet throughout his time in English football and has now reached a half-century for the Blues.
Costa opened his account on his Premier League debut for Chelsea against Burnley on August 18, 2014.
He would end that campaign with 21 in all competitions, hitting the 20-goal mark in top-flight fixtures.

A first hat-trick arrived against Swansea City in September 2014, while he also bagged two braces.
Costa would net two times in the same fixture just once during the 2015-16 campaign, but has already managed that feat twice this season.

He now sits alone at the top of the Premier League scoring charts, with his effort at Selhurst Park edging him one clear of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez.
