Ozil faces fight to be fit for Liverpool game

The Germany international will be hopeful of featuring in Saturday's huge Premier League clash
Mesut Ozil faces a fight to be fit for Arsenal’s game against Liverpool on Saturday after he was sent home from training by the club doctor on Wednesday due to illness, Goal understands.
The Germany international will be hopeful of being passed fit for the crucial Premier League encounter at Anfield, although he has been advised to rest up and didn't take part in Wednesday's training session at London Colney.
Gunners stars including Ozil took part in a team bonding session at Bloomsbury Bowling on Tuesday night but Ozil reported for training the following morning with flu-like symptoms.

Ozil has covered more ground (10.49km per 90 minutes on average) than the likes of Laurent Koscielny and Alexis Sanchez in 2017 despite playing fewer minutes than the duo.
He's been one of several players criticised for his performances of late which has coincided with Arsenal's inconsistent form, prompting the player's agent to come out in his defence following the recent Champions League defeat by Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Elneny won't be available for the match at Anfield due to injury but he could be back in less than a fortnight according to sources close to the player.
