Ronaldo, Zidane & Navas booed as Real Madrid scrape draw

The hosts were lucky to escape with a point after falling 3-1 down at home to Las Palmas and the supporters made their disapproval clear

Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane and Keylor Navas were subjected to boos during Real Madrid's unconvincing draw with Las Palmas on Wednesday, which saw them knocked off the top of the table.
Despite taking the lead at Bernabeu through Isco, Real endured a nightmarish evening as goals from Taunausu, Jonathan Viera and Kevin Prince Boateng saw the visitors surge into a second-half lead.
The hosts were dealt a blow early in the second half when Gareth Bale was sent off for a second yellow-card offence and Las Palmas looked ready to snatch victory until a late Ronaldo double salvaged a point for Zidane's men.

Naturally enough, Madrid fans were far from happy with how their players and let them know in no uncertain terms that their performances were not acceptable.
Disapproving jeers rained down on Navas following the concession of the third goal, with fans feeling that the goalkeeper was perhaps too easily beaten by Boateng.

Barcelona back among the goals

Ronaldo, too, was targeted for criticism when he made an uncharacteristic error when attempting to control the ball during a threatening counter-attack, thus spurning an opportunity to score.
With his side trailing at home, Zidane felt the heat from the stands too, particularly when he withdrew goal-scorer Isco for Lucas Vasquez shortly after the hour mark.
Following Barcelona's big win over Sporting Gijon earlier in the night, the draw sees Real Madrid fall behind their rivals in the race for league glory.
